The students arrived extra early, especially freshmen , in hopes of finding their way around the school . After a few weeks clubs and activities were starting to form . Things once again began to pick up. The second semester came quickly but went slowly. All of the vacations seemed to have taken place in the first semester giving an occasional well deserved break for both faculty and students. The last nine weeks were anticipated by all . While all other students were busy preparing for the coming year with scheduling and electing class officers , the seniors were busy preparing for the rest of their lives . 7 owder THtff ‘ 79 This year the Powder Puff Game was won by the freshmen. The first game the frosh won was against the Jrs. The score: 22-0. The second game the Srs. won against the Soph. 20-6 and the third game Frosh vs. Seniors: 6-0. This year we have really had our ups and downs , but even through the toughest times I could still count on those very few to come through . And , it was with their help that made this book what it is . Only those who wanted to be a member of the staff and were dedicated enough to stick with it really know the effort it takes to produce a book and can, therefore, thoroughly enjoy it. And to those I say THANKS ! Lauri Talmadge Johnson
