The event was a dream come true for those who saw it through many years of planning and nearly two years of construction . The highlight of the ceremony was the dedication address given by U . S . Representative Adam Benjamin Jr. Comments were also made by Dr. Kosmas Kayes, Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Leroy Webdell, Coordinator of Secondary Education, and by Patricia Sylvia, Student Council President, in behalf of the student body . The buildings ' architect, Fred W. Collins was on hand to present the building key to Mr. Nick Morikis, President of the School Holding Corporation . The ceremony was followed by an open house with many community members touring the building . 25
