Indianapolis Ballet Theatre Presents: Two performances by the Indianapolis Ballet Theatre on March 5 and 6 were cultural highlights of the year. A medley of dances were presented at a matinee on Sunday. Special children ' s dances on Monday were provided for the school city ' s elementary children who showed their pleasure through sparkling eyes and applause for the performers . Brought to the high school by the School Board and sponsored by the Edisonian , those who saw the performances were impressed . The Indianapolis Ballet Theatre brought another art form to Edison for the first time . Future events such as the ballet would add to the school ' s opportunities. 23

Pronounced one of the most successful days on record by students and teachers alike , Career Day was held on February 15. Students attended three sessions of their choice . Participating in the presentations were area businesses and organizations ranging from advertising , cosmotology and nursing , to apprentice programs , the state police and the U.S. Navy. Career opportunities were presented to students. At the conclusion of the sessions , many students had new ideas as to various futures open to them. 22
