Secretary-Treasurer, Safe-Teen, Com- mercial Club, Pep Club, Edisonian Advertising Assistant, Eagle Feathers Staff, Choir, Majorette, Girls ' State As sophomores, the Class of 1960 entered the halls of the quite new Edison Senior High School Building with eager anticipation of the years to come. The class was organized under the leadership of James Spanopoulos, president; James Kitchell, vice-president; Juanita Johnson, secretary; Martha Babarik, treasurer. Finally advanced to the position of upperclassmen, their junior year was filled with many happy moments and exciting events including the return of the junior class play, class rings, and the most wonderful event of the year, the Prom. The officers for the year were William Dopp, president; Mary Pirjas, vice-president; Juanita Mattingly, secretary; Georgia Rogers, treasurer. The fall of 1959, they were SENIORS and the most important year of their high school life had arrived. This was their final and busiest year, and class officers were elected at the beginning of the year. Although the Hard Times Dance was held on October 23, the annual Powder Puff Game was postponed a number of times due to the rainy weather but was finally held on November 9. Besides their class play, they sponsored a Post Prom Party which was the first to be held at Edison; then with an air of festivity came the distribution of programs, name cards, baccalaureate, and graduation. Looking forward to the future, the Class of 1960 left the halls of Edison Senior High. 1 6
