We have come again to the end of a successful year at Edgewood High School. In all areas — scholarship, dramatics, athletics, music — Edgewood students have made their mark of excellence. It is my personal wish to everyone that the Tro- jans will continue to display the leadership traits that have made them outstanding, and that the passing years will cause us to be increasingly proud of your ad- ditional accomplishments. £AiWOJjiX mL OmJj §4AKfmJL tydXAxuilMj WJv The end of the senior year is a time of re- joicing upon the completion of a task well-done,- but it is also a time of nostalgia. Pleasant associations of the past years are being termi- nated, in most cases to be renewed only occa- sionally, if at all. For twelve years the graduating class has been associated intimately with perhaps the greatest of our American achievements — univer- sal, free education. Probably no other enterprise so perfectly portrays the outstanding character- istic of our American heritage, concern for the worth of the individual. Seldom will you see, in the coming years, any activity in which so little regard is given for your race, color, creed, financial, or family cir- cumstances. Success or lack of success has de- pended on you and your efforts. May you be satisfied with the result. J rri Z Edgewood has just completed its fourth year and graduated its third class. Over these years, E.H.S. has grown in beauty, tradition, and stat- ure. The atmosphere on campus has been one of diligent pursuit of learning with pride and high school spirit. Your opportunity for wider selec- tion of courses has been made possible through the seven period day. Our athletic teams have done an outstanding job this year in establishing us as a school that has spirit, drive, and winning power. Your student government has worked in an effective manner to bring about the desires of the students in their area of responsibility. As the Class of 1963 leaves to become a part of the past of Edgewood High, I wish them well and success in the years to come. The legacy they have left behind will long be remembered and will become another chapter of the Trojan legend. The Trojans that remain will carry the Trojan name to even greater heights.
