Mrs. Louise Abke Mrs. Gladys Phillips 344' pf' The flight of the EHS Eagle seems to parallel the soaring of t.be famed King of Birds. The first, representing both EHS and each of her members, is readily comparable to the eagle itself, which she has chosen as her symbol. Both aim high and work steadily toward their goals. Both, while appearing to move effortlessly, reach their peak of achievement only through superior drive and determination. The flight of the eagle distinguishes him from all other birds. The graceful sweep of bis ascent and regal majesty of his bearing are unequaled in the animal kingdom. This flight which so sets him apart is made possible only through his unceasing energy and power and his superb co-ordination.

Each personas accomplish- ments are incorporated in every achievement of the school as a whole, whether it be in athletics, in scholarship, in citizenship, in the arts, in com- munity service, in competition at county and state conventions, or in demonstrations of never-flag- ging spirit. Without the individual the whole would he worthless. And it takes co-ordination of the various activities-study, sports, and clubs-to create the well-rounded personality which is im- perative in today's fast-paced society.
