There was poetry study for the aesthetic-minded person. Macbeth and Silas Marner gave everybody a chance to try out his skill in under- standing and interpreting famous lit- erature. Acting out various scenes was almost comical when inexperienced uactorsi' tried to speak the language of Shakespeare. Of help to all were vocabulary, grammar, and spelling. Physical education played a vital part in the life of the students. Gym teachers had to see that all the stu- dents learned teamwork and correct procedure of play. Physical fitness, knowledge, and aptness of the student depended on their valuable teachings. Correct turns, proper hand motions, and courtesy on the road were drilled upon each day in the driver's training class. Before being passed, students had to go through many rigid tests and a tough training period far more com- plex than teenage road-e-os. Charlestons, a roaring twenties' fash- ion show and barber shop quartets were revived in the teachers' humorous Faculty Fiasco . A musical devil and an angelic choir were also on the scene. This show proved the unusual versatility of our faculty. 66 f-1 ' ' - N , . .
