Miss Lorena Thomas, the Dean of girls, will always be remembered for her kind anel un- derstanding ways. She was available for ad- vice on both social and personal prolnlems. The namesake of the senior Tri-Hi-Y gladly held conferences with students and parents alike. Keeping daily attendance records on every student took a great deal of attention. Mr. Fleming, the Dean of lnoys, served E.H.S. for the fourth year. He did a splen- did joh of keeping track of over 900 boys. His advice and friendship proved helpful to many who gladly accepted care in the clinic. Another of his duties was handling the test- ing program, and recording the necessary in- formation for the proper parties. Miss Cordon, the Junior Class Adviser, and Miss Montgomery and Mrs. Baldridge, the sophomore class aelvisers, spent many hours consulting with the students and making out schedules. Miss Evans, taking time out from her gym classes, used two periods a day for conferring with the seniors. The class ad- visers proved to he a helpful asset to the students of Edgewater High School. ARE EHS EAGER BE VERS There's a light bulb burned out in Room 2023, 'sThe pencil sharpener in Room 161 is , not working. Could you tell me where I can find a hammer?,, These are only a few sam- ples of the long list of questions so often asked our EHS custodians. Mr. Ralph Den- nart, head custodian, Mr. Alfred Cousins, Mr. Raoul Le Casse, Mr. Arthur Smith, Mr. Earl Thornton, and Mr. Charles Walkinshaw were on call for solving perplexing problems around school. Another helping hand was Emma Cutts, the Edgewater maid, who gladly aided the Eagles every possible moment. Pausing a moment from their varied duties around EHS are our busy custodians: Mr. Ralph Dennart, Mr. Raoul LaCasse, Mr. A. C. Smith, Mr. Earl Thornton. and Mr. Charles W. Colter. 19 One of the most difficult jobs found around Edgewater, that of keeping the sch00l's premises as clean as possible, is cheer- fully accomplished by Emma Cutts, our able helper.
