PRI CIPAL HOWS VER ATILITY Versatility was the keynote whenever Mr. Orville R. Davis, our principal, was discussed. A man of many and varied talents, Mr. Davis put them all to work for the benefit of Edge- water's students and teachers. No job or proh- lem was too insignificant for his personal at- tention, no task too large or perplexing for him to solve successfully. Aiding the school toward its peak of efli- ciency, Mr. Davis dictated the assignment of teachers, the direction of the school program, and the organization of the curriculum. Fur- ther assuring this efiiciency, he oversaw the managing of Edgewater's many departments. But he could also perform many of the tedi- ous tasks which were continually popping up in a school Edgewater's size, such as the fig- uring of a senior's position in his class. But Mr. Davis could take time out from his busy day to appear in and support school functions, athletics, and plays. Truly his was a variety-filled position at EHS. Mr. Davis keeps the audience rolling in the aisles as he repeatedly begs for an opportunity to play his big bass fiddle between acts of the Faculty Fiasco. W 13
