Some of our activities were bake sales and a cleanup day. We had no junior play because the old gym was torn down and the new one wasn't yet completed. Our senior year we had thirty members, As president we elected Loren Blomekeg vice president, Kenneth Weiszg secretary, Marilyn Kingg and student council representative, Barbara Herman. Mr. Anderson was our class advisor. We directed our activities toward making enough money to go to New York. We sold salt water taffy and magazine subscriptions. With the able assistance of Miss Krill and Mr. Koenn we presented our senior play, Stars in Their Eyes. During the second semester, some of our college-minded students took scholar- ship exams. Laverne Mast ranked highest in the class and was named vale- dictorian, Shirley Close was salutatiorian, and Wendell Goebel was historian. 11
