YB! I95l Schoo SEPTEMBER First day of school. Everyone is haptpy! Senior pictures taken. Watch the bir ie! '- 15. A brief vacation for the county fair is enjoyed by all. The F. F.A. welcomes its new members in initiation rites. Ditto for the F. H. A. OCTOBER Another group of odd-looking characters. Y-Teen informal initiation. Today the rgrade pictures were taken. Lots of excitement. We enjoye our first assembly program - Mrs. Moegle played her harp. The new teachers were honored at a banquet in the cafeteria. Many laughs were heard as the new teachers performed. Freshman-Sophomore party. Wonderful time! Afraid to take a look. We received our report cards for the first time. No school today. The teachers went to Toledo to attend the institute. The Hi-Y and Y-Teen Clubs held their formal initiation at the Methodist church. We enjoyed seein man of our classmates perform at the Mothers' Club Taqent Show. NOVEMBER The juniors displayed their acting talents in Orchids and Onions. A repeat performance. The annual Hi-Y and Y-Teen Hunt. More fun! The Bulldogs got off to a good start by defeating Edon one point in an overtime game. The first Junior High Basketball game. We won over Pioneer. Dressed in their best, the girls took their sweethearts to the Y-Teen Sweetheart banquet. The F. H. A. also sponsored a Turkey Trot in the gym. Thanks iving Day. Why do we eat so much? ? ? ? ? DECEMi3ER F. H.A. and F. F. A. held a Mother and Father Banquet. Group pictures were taken for the annual. We rushed the F. F. A. through so they could attend the Parliamentary Procedure contest at Holgate. Dr. Evelyn Duvall talked to the high school students about boy-and-girl relationships. It proved very interesting to al. Woe iys me! We lost to Hicksville by seven points. fOur only loss. The Music Boosters s onsored a country store sale. More basketball--We beat West Unity. Another win to our credit--we beat Farmer. Our Christmas Concert was cancelled because of the winter weather. Looks like no school for the rest of the week. Still no school and no basketball ame with Pioneer. Our Christmas vacation starts officiaily today. JANUARY Happy New Year. School begins tomorrow. Once again we played Edon and again won by one point. Whew Half of our school year is over. We have been suffering !

Calendar 1952 through semester exams. Better luck next time! More basketball--with Alvordton. Added another win. FEBRUARY Guess the ground hog saw his shadow. 5iX 1'1'10I'C weeks of winter. We did it! Beat Hickswille by twenty-two points. Lots of excitement in the grade rooms. Valentine parties were the reason. The Williams County tournament begins. We drew Alvordton for the first game and beat them. Tonight we p ayed Pioneer and won again to get into the finals against Edon. F. F.A. boys are missing--they're attending a judging contest at Kenton. Later reports were that they did very well Tonight was the big night. We beat Edon by four points in the last three minutes of the game to win the tournament. This makes the fifth year in a row. Getting to be a habit? A grand celebration--we got the band out and had a snake dance through town. On to the District Tournament. We won over Archbold. MARCH Gained a place in the semi-finals by beating Delta. Hurrah! Tonight we lost to Miller City in the semi- inals. But we had a reat season! Todaygthe solo and ensemble contestants went to Bowling Green. We made a good showing! The F. F. A. played Bryan in their basketball tournament. Today the band and gir s' chorus went to Bowling, Green. Tonight the Bulldogs are honored at the athletic anquet. Anot er very interesting assembly program--Otto Schacht. The Y-Teen mermaids invaded the poo at the Bowling Green State University Natatorium today. They had a splashing time! APRIL Tonight the Hi-Y boys took their best girls to the Sweetheart Banqgiet at the school cafeteria. The enior Class Play-- Sociall Ambitious. The audience enjoyed a great evening of fun. CSO did the seniors.J A repeat perfornmnge--much easier this time, it seems. Today the F. H.A. had a tea for their mothers. The Y-Teens did their baby-sitting at school. Took all their little friends to a Kiddie Party. An assembly for the entire school--Ford's Animal Act. Everyone looked so glamorous tonight. The reason--the Qrunior-senior banquet. he Y-Teens brought their parents to their Pa-Ma-and-Me Banquet. MAY 'The Qing and Queen were royally welcomed at the May Dance omg . Clair yearbooks arrive!
