Prof. Heer says that in tuning up a trombone with a piano, it is neces- sary to eliminate all vibrations. No. Prof., those are not vibrations of which you speak. It takes vibra- tions to make any tone at all, viz.: for middle C it requires 512 vibrations per second. Nlfhat you were thinking of, was beats. Then again, we think you are well enough acquainted with dead beats to distinguish the clilference. Prof. also says that a moving picture show is an apparatus which causes vibrations of the heart and that said vibrations are usually more intensive at the end of the show.
