Each group was divide into five sec- tions, each having a separate duty. These duties were: Taking care of magazine rack, bulletin boards, magazine room, making book repairs, and checking books in study hall. Officers for the club were: President, Gloria Thronsong vice president, Kathy Lockeg and secre- tary-treasurer, Ron Rcckard. Advisor was Mrs. Ruth Djupman. Two girls taking correspondence courses for this activity are Marlys Crandall and Jean Selvog, sg , Q 'ff il School library work includes checking through all books for necessary repairs.

Present Facts - Give Views These students discuss intelligently the problems that deal with economics. 38 What's the topic? The members of discussion will bebate it. This year, the discussion group had three meetings. One was held here on the topic of Foreign Aid. The sec- ond was held at Fort Atkinson and the last one at Monona Grove. Anyone who wishes, may go out for discussion. All prep- aration is done on the individuals own time. This year the memerg were: Lois Lenox, John Roethe, Pat Deignan, Julie Staff, Sarah Ahrensmeyer, Sylvia Shower, Vera Nlc- Govern, James Bruni, and Diane Fay. The advisor of this group is Mr. Henry Rusyczyk, who was a great help in finding references and getting students prepared for thc discussion.

Most of the work of the Drama Club is outside of the activity hour itself. Its forty members met every Tues- day activity period. An annual all-school play was pre- sented at Christmas time called, A Child Is Born. The club was divided into three groups each present- ing a one-act play. Members of the faculty judged the participants according to their performance. The best group performance was taken to see a professional pro- duction in Madison. Members are in charge of make-up and costumes of every play produced. The participants in this activity learn about acting and the essential things that make a production possible. Advisor of this group was Mr. G. Keith Holforty, who gives his time to direct the plays. Officers elected at mid-year were: President, Jean Falligantg vice presi- dent, Faye Fischer: and secretary-treasurer, Carol Niel- son. Recently elected dramatics officers for the com ing year are, left to right, Carol Nielson, secretary Faye Fisher, vice-presideit: Jean Falligant, pres ident.
