011 What And what a year it was! Ex- citement and surprise made the 84-85 school year one to remember. The year brought new insight to parking lot at- tendants, clothes, hair styles, rules and regulations, classes, sports and clubs. The student body contributed the most to this fascinating school year. Fall came, school began, and everyone finally realized that their summer was over. The first real surprise of the year came quickly. Students were told it would no longer be free to park in the student parking lot. There was going to be a charge of twenty dollars a semester. Without the sticker purchased in the front window, the students, car could be ticketed and tow- 2 i OPENING ed, at the owners expense. There were a few complaints but, eventually everyone pretty much got used to the idea. The fall also brought new fashions for both guys and girls. Sometimes the fashion for guys and girls was so similar it didnit matter who wore what. Of course, there was the traditional jeans and sweatshirts but, what about the flourescent shirts, pants and shoes worn mainly by the girls. The guys, it seemed, became more aware of fashion. They spent more money and time picking out their wardrobes. Guys wore baggy pants, big sweaters and the traditional clothes. Girls wore anything from boxers to a Year! long underwear, full skirts to tight dresses and traditional outfits to all out new wave or punk outfits. Throughout the whole year fashion was new and exciting with the theme on individuality. Interscholastic competition during the fall season was overall successful. There was the introduction of two new teams this year. First, was the girls soccer team. With a varying level of skills on the team, the girls did very well.
