GIRLS INTERSCHOLASTIC VOLLEYBALL Anytime now BELOW: OOOMP! ABOVE: Laurie's karate ball ABOVE: Patty knows about spikes. The Volleyball coach this year was Krista Domer. The most valuable player and all conference, was Cheryl Kerber. Letter winners were Cheryl Kerber, Mary Gstalder tcaptaim, Debbie Crow, Lauren Fransen, Laurie Hagen, and Patty Redmond. The girls had their ups and downs, but greatly improved over last year. They won 3 out of 8 games, and won the first play-off game. Though losing the second game, they had team spirit and hope to be back next year to take the title.

CROSS COUNTRY The Cross Country team showed improvement in the fall of 1973 by placing fifth in the Valley Conference Meet. Though not yet champions, they moved to the middle of the pack, rather than being at the bottom as they had been in past years. One of the season highlights was a very narrow loss to two conference powers in a home meet. Coach Larry Anderson was proud of all indi- viduals on the team, remarking that they had all improved. Anderson noted that Most Valuable Player Brad Coon deserved special recognition for his training program which continued throughout the entire year. ABOVE: No Marty, Streaking is out!
