r , I fill! ' ' X ylll'l I Each year the senior class meets to decide to whom they will dedicate the annual. This year a decision was very promptly reached. The unanimous vote was for Our art instructor, Mrs. Doris Stewart. Mrs. Stewart came to Eden Prairie three years ago and set up our first art program. She encountered many hardships that first year; the most impor- tant one was having no room of her own in which to conduct her classes. Each was held in a different room and between classes she would be seen, loaded down with books and art materials, rushing so that she would not be late. Yet, despite the many handicaps, you would never hear her complain. Besides her regular classes, she helps withseveralextra-curricular activi- ties. The class play scenery has been excellently done for the last three years and the float for Homecoming would not have been nearly as nice without her assistance. She is also the advisor for the art club. Before Mrs. Stewart came to our school she worked as a substitute in sev- eral Minneapolis schools and was,at one time, an interior decorator at Dayton's. She has also been active for many years in Delta Phi Delta, an honorary art fraternity. We wish to express our sincere thanks to you, Mrs. Stewart, for your pa- tience and understanding. We also want you to know that we appreciate your willingness to help us with whatever problems we might have had. The senior class extends their warmest wishes to you for the future and hopes you will always have pleasant memories of your years at Eden Prairie.
