Senior Class H istory My name is Ulysses and I am a mouse. I have lived in Eden Prairie now for nigh onto thirty years. I have watched manypeople come and go, but I will never forget the seniors of 1958. ' I have knownthem when they were juSt little tots of five and six years of age and starting first grade in 1946. There were twenty- nine of them then and they were: Frank Anderson, Maxine Boyd, ,Gary Brandon, Barbara Bren, -JoAnn Bright, Janine Chelburg, Shirley Filipi, Carolyn Hathaway, George Heppes, George Holasek, Gloria Holasek, Janet Holasek, Paul Kittleson, Robert Kopesky, Robert Langer, Patricia Launert, James Leary, Kenneth Lohr, LeRoy' Novotny, David Olson, Jackie Pavelka, Elaine Schnaky, JoAnne Schutropg Samuel Schutrop, Nancy Shaver, Norma Wanek, Bonita Westphal, Robert Williams, and Jackie Wood. In 1947, Robert Langer, LeRoy Novotny, JoAnne and. Samuel Schutrop, Nancy Shaver, Bonita Westphal, George Heppes, Ken Lohr, and Jackie Wood left us, but Richard Becker, Marlene Gillette, John Mohlin and DeWitte Reed joined us. In 1948, just one year after they entered, Richard Becker, DeWitte Reed, and Marlene Gillette left 'us. We also lost Gary Brandon, Carolyn Hathaway, Patricia Launert, David Olson, and Robert Williams. We gained James Brady, Charles Monson, Ruby Torgerson, and Verlyn Torgerson. We also gained Ronald Fuller, but did not get to know him too well, for he left the same year. In 1949, we gained James Balfanz, Philip Bartels, David Delahunt, Delmond Haakinson, Bonnie Pederson, Allan Penney, and David Furuli. We lost James Brady, Ruby Torgerson, and Verlyn Torgerson. In 1950, and in the fifth grade, I see that a few more have joined us. But, alas and alack, a few left us too. Those that joined us were: Jerry Geiger, James Robinson, and Kathy Bohlen. Philip Bartels and David Furuli lift us. In 1951, meeting the half-way mark, we find that Bruce Brekke, Karen Brown, Sharon Ledell, Nancy Wollin, Daniel Hollenbeck, and Roger Zempel have joined our class, but we lost James Robinson, Delmond Haakinson, and David Delahunt. In 1952, I noticed that quite a few more students were enrolled in the seventh grade at good old Eden Prairie . They were Richard Boywer', Don Enger, Vern Foss, Duane Jacques, Kathy. Lubrant, Karon Lubrant, Nancy Mitchell, Dan Shidla, Vern Wittenberg, and Nancy Shaver. But we lost Jerry Geiger, Daniel Hollenbeck and Roger Zempel. I In 153, and still going strong, we gained only faur new members. They were Doris Florez, Ron Coburn, Bill Good, and James Lueck. We lost only one this year and that Was Nancy Shaver. In 154, we gained Harold Duda, Florence 'Schutrop, Roger Bell, and Ken Varpness. But as in other years, we must part with our friends, and those that parted were Paul Kittleson, Don Enger, Richard BOWyer, and Jim Leary.

In the tenth grade, we said Hi to Marvin Susemihl, Mary Nelson, and Charlotte Wenisch. Ronald Coburn, Nancy Mitchell and Vern. Wittenberg said Goodbye to us and left for other parts. In our junior year, we were presented with Brute Zemlin and Dave Platt, but both left us at the end of the year along with Allan Penney, Karon Lubrant and James Fisher. Now those left in this senior class and ready to graduate are Florence Schutrop, Jackie Pavelka, Mary Nelson, Don MacKinnon, Jim Lueck, Kathy Lubrant, Robert Kopesky, Duane Jacques, Janet Holasek, George Holasek, Gloria Holasek, William Good, Bruce Brekke, Vernon Foss, Doris Florez, Shirley Filipi, Harold Duda, Karen Brown, Barb Bren, Micky Boyd, Jim Balfanz, Marvin Susemihl, Charlotte Wenisch, Dan Shidla, Ken Varpness, and Charles Monson. Of those that started, only eight stayed with us for the full twelve years. They were, Micky Boyd, Barb Bren, Shirley Filipi, George Holasek, Gloria Holasek, Janet Holasek, Bob Kopesky, and Jackie Pavelka. Some of these seniors are a little reluctant to leave Eden Prairie , but others are looking forward to new lives and different wonders that lie ahead for them. Maybe I'm sentimental, but I know that Eden Prairie and I will never forget the seniors of 1958.
