14 Class History As the seniors of 1955-1956 sit arcund a roaring bonfire, their little minds drift back to their former years at old E.P. Going back twelve years, they recall seventeen bright-eyed youngster who composed the first-grade class of Eden Prairie. They were Tom Anderson, Bruce Bren, Dellos Kopesky, Edward Good, Jack Childs, Violet Coleman, Patricia De Vries, Ramona Jones, Ronald Kasper, Patricia. Kinnard, Sharron Klegin, Joseph Langer, Robert Penney, Beverly Tobias, Dorothy Ciskovsky, Verlin Torgerson, Kenneth Waller and Kenneth Westphal. In the second grade, the class lost Jack Childs, Violet Coleman, Patricia De Vries, Ramona Jones, Sharron Klegin, Kenneth Waller. The only new member was Bernard Torgerson. In the third grade four new students were gained. They were Roy Kinkle. Arlene Lohr, David Pavelka, and Rolland Schnacky. No one left. James Becker and Delores Bren were the only new members of the class in the fourth grade. Ronald Kasper, Joseph Longer, Bernard Torgerson, and Kenneth Westphal left. After pausing to add more fuel to the jolly bonfire, the members of the class of 1956 think of their former classmates. In the fifth grade they gained William Dredge, Marc LeSueur, and Mary Helen Peterson. Patty Kinnard was the only one to leave. The sixth grade gained five new members. They were Robert Shaver, William Strant, Rosalie Pollack, Caryl Owen, and Wilma. Penney. Mary Helen Peterson and Rolland Schnacky left to go to school elsewhere. Joan Larson was the only new member in the seventh grade. William Strant and Robert Shaver left. The eighth grade gained three new members. Jane Gens, Gene Korrnylo, and Gary Kostecka were the lucky people. Caryl Owen was the only absentee. The Fresh- man Class gained Valerie Bowyer, Burt Ackerman, and Marion Lubrant. No one was lost. No new members were gained in the sophomore year. Gary Kostecka left. The Junior Class retained the members of the sophomore year, with the exception of Beverly Tobias, who dropped during the middle of the year. Wilma Penney, Marion Lubrant, and Edward Good left in the first semester of the senior year. Students sruviving twelve years of hard study at E.P. were Torn Anders on, Bruce Bren, Dorothy C'is'kovsky, and Dellos Kopesky. The other seniors who graduated at E.P..Were Burt Ackerman, Torn Balfanz, Delores Bren, Jane Gens, Gene Kormylo, Marc LeSueur, William Dredge, David Pavelka, and Arlene Lohr. As the reminiscing ends, fire trucks roll up to put out the bonfire. But it is too late. Eden Prairie stands no more.

Senior Class Prophecy While looking for the Who's Who in the library, We discovered another similar book called What's 119.13..- Tom Anderson, librarian, helped us. Heis devoted his life, very nobly, to books and is trying to encourage the human tand inhumani race in this interest. With Tom's aid we start through What's That ill 1966'. Behold: Professor B. Peter Piper Pepper Bren'. He's heading the recent expe- dition to the upper part of Lower Gorgonzolia searching for bigger and better ice mice. Isn't that wonderful? His life's ambition has been fulfilled: Look who's in politics: W.W.D. is running for president, Honorable Willy's platform is Banish Railroads'. Bring back the stage coach'. Willyis opponent is Calamity Jane' Gens. Her platform is Bigger and better pool halls for our juvenile delinquents. Sir Bertram Ackermanio has broken all records for his numerous performances at the Metropolitan Opera House. He won his way to fame with that classical selection You Blacked My Blue Eyes Once Too Often. Marc LeSueur has received the M0st Dynamic Salesman of the Decade award given by the Better Caves and Garbage magazine. He's about to leave for Africa where he will begin the greatest campaign of his career selling maps of Mars to the native tribesmen. Dorothy Ciskovsky has just received the Nobel Prize for her work in first aid for mosquito bites in Antarctica. Tom Balfanz has started a hospital for mentally handicapped horses. Arlene Lohr is top-psychiatrist. Gene Kormylo has just returned from Africa with the latest material for his book How -t-o Shrink Heads Ln- Nine Easy Lessons and One Hard One. Educators are eagerly awaiting its publication so it may be used as a textbook in our modern schools of today. Delores Bren is the world's most famous big game hunter. She stalks her prey in the heart of New York City. Dellos Kopesky is prominent in the scientific world for his work in untwisting pretzels. Mr. Kopesky says. A distorted pretzel is no pretzel at all. This class seems to excel in almost every field. In drama we find Dave Pavelka has taken: the place 01 Ollie 1n nukla, Fran, and 0111.6. Dave's hobby off-stage is putting tooth paste back in the tube. We stand in awe as Tom replaces the book. We Juniors hope that we may tread in the hoofprints of this famous Senior Class of '55-'56. 13

The Will Burt Ackerman - I will my job as senior class president to any junior next year; Torn Anderson - I will my job as Student Council vice-president to anyone that likes Student Council meetings. And my being late every morning to anyone who can get away with it. Tom Balfanz - I will my job of vice-president of the senior class 'to Wayne C., and . hope he works as hard as I did. Bruce Bren - I will my position of co-editor of the annual and co-captain of the basketball team to Jim S. Delores Bren - I will my position of co-editor of the annual to Pauline K. Dorothy Ciskovsky - I will my job of Buzzer circulation manager to anyone who likes to work. Bill Dredge - I will my job of manager of the basketball team to Brent R. and hope he makes sure the team keeps training .rules. Jane Gens - I will my position of co-editor of the Buzzer to anyone with a good memory and a big notebook. Gene Kormylo - I will my height to Denny P. Marc LeSueur - I will my part-time clarinet chair to Diane D. because she's cute. Dellos Kopesky - I will my position of business manager of the Buzzer to BOb H. And my ability to have it all figured out to anyone Who wants to be expelled. David Pavelka - Iwill my position of Buzzer co-editor to an intellect. Arlene Lohr - I will my job of Student Council secretary to anyone who has taken shorthand or can write fast.
