Miss Straub, Mr. O'Neil The Freshmen are the largest high school class in the school. We mention this hecause in the seventh grade we numbered less than half the 60 pupils in the class today. We are proud to have been the last eighth grade to graduate from Eden lligh Sehoolg the last to graduate with lllr. Myersg in fact, the last to graduate! There will be no more elementary school promotion exercises in lfden Central Sehool. Our class is well represented in the various extra-curricular activities. John Vaeanti is on the first hasltcthall team. Richard Szal, Richard Boseek, Stephen Sears and Nlarion Vanxote also participated in some exciting games on the ,layvee basketball team. Few Freshmen have achieved this position in the past. Fin' students, all from Mr. 0'Ncil,s class, are Future Farmers of Alnerican. Miss Straub's students have joined such organizations as Dramatics Club, and News Staff. Xl c look forward to being Sophomores in the new lfden Central School huilding.

We are proud. too. tliat four of our girls are in the triple trio. and that when tlie llratnaties Club presented its plays. tliree Sophornores were cast. one taking a leading role. Because each class has to put on an assembly program and because our linglisli classes were studying a unit on radio, ssc transfornied the stage into the studio and gaye tyso successful radio dramas, adapted by' our msn class lnenibers. Now, because of the centralization school, we need two home rooms. We were amazed, since we are only junior high school people, that in the field meet we won third place in the contest and made almost 314.00 selling tags. As our assembly program this year, we sponsored a speaker from Buffalo State Teachers College, Doctor Peterson, who spoke to us on America's Relationship with South Americaf, Dr. Peterson gave us interesting information about the products of manufacturing and gave us a very good discription of South American affairs. We were very industrious in cooperating in Miss Buflingtonis contract plans in studying history. To achieve an A required work, and work we did. ln Home Economics, our apron-clad cooks made their Hrst baking powder biscuits and muffins. Some went into our waiting stomachs and some into the waste basket. Well, itis all in life and to the disap- pointed girls we say, Live and Learn! We have elected a jury of six people, three boys and threegirls, two monitors, a boy and a girl, and the hi h and mighty judge. This of course will keep us remembering our manners.
