Its purpose is to promote a higher standard of dramatics in the school. Members of the Troupe must obtain a minimum of 10 points as set up in the point system of the National Con- stitutuon of the Society to qualify for membership. The Continental This picture of the Continentals was taken at the Franklin Institute where they provided music for the Latin Festival on March 5, 1959. At this time they were offered the opportunity to play at a dinner-dance for West Chester High School. Their first public appearance was between acts of the English Department Play, They also pre- sented the story of Jazz in an assembly for the benefitof the students. On March 31, they pre- sented this same program to the Marcus Hook Junior High School. The dance band will also compete in the Bands ofTomorrow Contest on March 19 at the Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia, This neat recognition is due to the excellent leadership of Mr. Weitzel, our instrumental di- rector.
