Darby Ridley Township Away This year, Eddystone's basketball stars began the season like a house afiref' They won two games with a huge score, but were smothered by a strong alumni team. The flame did not go out, however. Taking the next five games, they were defeated on a close one by Township. Mr. Fryer, this year, has molded a swift-moving attack with the fast break and the eagle-eye shooting of James Ashworth, James Warrington, and William Matthews. Coach Fryer has installed an offensive defense. The team has accepted this type of play and has used it to good advantage. Yes, our team has shown a polish that Mr. Fryer had not expected to see until mid-season, at least. Eddystone's junior high school players are enjoying a successful season this year. Buzz Powell and Jimmy Restucci are leading the team with their fine shooting and defensive work. The junior high team is also familiar with the techniques of the fast break.
