UHAMATIE CLUB Tn Dramatic Club under the supervnsxon of Mlss Geneva Dolbow was organlzecl ln l93Z and has been more or less active slnce that date The OH:lCl3l name IS the Eddystone Lighthouse Players and It IS recogmzed as the dramatic honor soclety of our hugh school Anyone who partlclpates nn any capaclty ln a woxthwhlle school production or presents a monologue before an audlence IS 1nv1ted to om The Dramatlc Club alms to develop an ctlve, mtelllgent lnterest 1n dramatlcs among hlgh school students to asslst m the selec tlon and presentatxon of worthwhlle hugh school plays to provlde sultable recognition for an outstandlng member who partxclpates xn hugh school dramatlcs Thls award IS based on a number of credlts whlch IS recexved by each member When the club was first organized It was customary tor our students to present plays m the assemblies of other hlgh schools and for others to perform before Eddy tones as embhes The lack of transportatlon durmg the war stopped th1s practice and II has not yet been resumed For ten consecutlve years the Dramatlc Club sponsored a play contest among the tenth ele enth, and twelfth grades Thns was not done for the last two years This year a three act play wxll be presented The ofhcers of the Dramatlc Club this year are Presldent William Young Vice Presldent ohn Menlchxnl Secretary Helen Baxter Treasurer Donald ones The presl dent IS always a member of the semor class The emblem of the Eddystone Llghthouse Players IS a small lighthouse w1th a mask on each sxde-one that denotes sadness and one, happmess gl , . -- l s , D 7 V 7 ' ,v .
