MAKING FRIENDS Steve has been caught! Whether students at Ector High are in the classroom learning, taking a field trip to the bank, enjoying Tacky Day or hanging stockings and trimming the tree (All Opposite Page); or “clowning around between classes (This Page) — each of them enjoys the closeness that results from knowing one another so well and understanding the meaning of friendship. Below: Teachers right where the students want them. Easter and Valentine Day are special holidays which elementary stu- dents look forward to at Ector. Each room in grades K-6 have their own planned activities for the day. After an exchange of valentines with their classmates, students enjoy refreshments provided by room mothers. Easter egg hunts challenge students to see who can find the most eggs first. Fifth and Sixth grades wait for the signal to start the hunt. 9
