It has been the purpose of this yearbook staff to capture and preserve a portion of one of those year’s memories in pictures and words. The following pages contain pictures of students and faculty as they were in the day to day process of teaching, learning, working and play ing. Although we were unable to record every event or happening which occurred during the school year, we have included most of the high lights of our school activities. It has not only been our task to produce the 1977 1978 yearbook, it has been our privilege to serve our school in this capacity. THE EAGLE STAFF SENIORS’78 AUTUMN AND FALL “kick off” activities at EHS include a trip to the State Fair in Dallas and participation in the Fannin County Fair. This Page: Students enjoy the bus ride to Dallas, fun at the fair, and Ector’s entry in the county fair, Charlotte Watson with escort, Bradley Lambert. Opposite Page: The annual Halloween Carnival and Christ mas parties are activities in which all grades become involved. A king and queen from high school and a prince and princess from grade school are crowned as the high- light of the carnival. 4 Juniors dare you into the spook house. Madame Morgan tells the future. Whether students at Ector High are in the classroom learning, taking a field trip to the bank, enjoying Tacky Day or hanging stockings and trimming the tree (All Opposite Page); or “clowning around between classes (This Page) — each of them enjoys the closeness that results from knowing one another so well and understanding the meaning of friendship. Fifth and Sixth grades wait for the signal to start the hunt. 9 JR-HIGH STUDENTS DO THEIR THING Julianne, Sharon and Mary work together to complete an assigned project.
