E IOR Robert Granaas Bob's main interest seems to be in his schoolwork. He is also very faithful to his paper route. Bob played Tennis for Ecorse and plans to make a career of land- scaping, or some phase of architectuary work. He, is on the College Course. Frederick I-lassom Fred wants to become a salesmang a suc- cessful one. Basketball is among the sports he enjoys playing and he also does woodwork. He was on the General Course and a member of the Senior Choir. Robert Grimes You can tell at first why Bob received the nickname Big Bear. He has a hearty smile for everyone, and his aim is to be successful. Bob's main interest lies in sports, All of his 240 pounds were an advantage to our football and basketball team. ln his Junior year he made All A- rea and All League first string. He also played Varsity Basketball and track. Bob was President of the Varsity Club, and the junior Class. He was a member of the Senior Choir and Teen-age. Garnett Hegeman A successful surgeon is this young fell- ow's ambition aud we knew he can do it, He has been a member ofthe Band, National Honor Society Student Coun- cil, and E-Teen. Garnett finds time to play 'tennis and enjoy his hobbies of photography and model airplanes. lNl.C. Hamlin This tall, husky looking fellow was our star quarterback in the 1953 football sea- son. His athletic ability is not limited only to football- lVl.C. played excellent varsity basketball and tennis alSo. His one ambition is to to contribute some- thing to the world. Charles Hicks Chuck came to us from Portsmouth Higl School. He is on the General Course With his curly blonde hair and big smil for everyone, he can't miss making, manj friends, both in school and out. He plan to be a machinist and is interested ir huntingi

Peter Frierson Pete is the boy who could run the legs off a rabbit. He was the co-captain of the track squad for the l953 season and is interested in physical education. Pete enjoys reading as a hobby, and he was a member of the Spanish-Latin, and li- Teen Clubs Vvilliam Gholston Bill is interested in playing pro basket- ball. He is well over six feet and can just about stand on the tips of his toes and drop the ball in the basket. Bill was on the general course and was a member of the Art Club. Marianna Gepes Dark haired, brown-eyed Nan likes horseback riding and swimming. Nan is also around when fishing is mention- ed, or is usually the first to suggest it. During her four years in high school she was a member of the O.G.A., O.A.T., Biol0gy,G.A.A., and Library Science Clubs. Claude Gibson Athletic minded Bishop participated in football and basketball. He was a mem- ber of the Student Police, Senior Choir, and Cafeteria. SE IORS Emele Gevercer College-bound Em is the actress of our class, therefore, she plans to be a dra- matics teacher. Her activities are Choir, Majorette, Latin Club, Annual Staff, and the National Honor Society. Em is always ready for a good laugh and keeps everyone laughing along with her. Tom Gordon You never see Tom without his little green Ford. It just seems to follow him wherever he goes. He isn't sure about what he would like to do after he has spent four years in college, but we are sure he will be successful at whatever he does. Tom played varsity football while Z- L:..L Ml 1

Robert Holbrook It was a happy day for Ecorse when Bob set foot here from Georgia. He was a good baseball player as well as a foot- ball player. lie enjoys his sports. Bob is on the College Course and plans to be an architect. Mary Kay Hollobaugh Although Mary Kay came to Ecorse High during her senior year, she ig known and liked by all. VVhile a student at St. Francis Xavier, Nlary was a cheer- leader. She also belonged to Student Council and Sodality. SE IORS Edward Hughes Eddie came to us from Southwestern, and we were proud to have him as a member of our class. He is on the College Course and preparing to go to college to be an engineer. The sports he particularly en- Marie Isaacson Marie has a sparkling personality and belonged to such numerous clubs as Art, Camera, Teenage, G.A.A., Girl's En- semble, Choir, Bird and Biology and is also a member of Student Council and the Annual Staff. Marie's ambition is to get married and she has such approp- riate hobbies as cooking and sewing for the future. Freddie Mae Jewell Most of ,her friends nicknamed her je- well, so we'll stick to that. Jewell wants to become a typist. She is also interested in sewing and enjoys many sports. She was on the commercial course and be- longed to O,B.A.,O.A.T., and G.A.A. joys are Varsity Track, Football and Basketball. Eddie belonged to the E- Teen Club Spanish Club, and Student Police. Roosevelt Jones l'Pete is one fellow that has really con- tributed to many of our wins in football in the 1952 season. He also was on the track team and played varsity basketball We feel sure that Pete will go far in the world of sports. He was on the gen- eral eourse and spent much of his time in printing.
