The Student Council, an active service organization, is busy all year, working with students and for the school. There are no dues, and the primary qualification for all members is that they must possess the ability to work and the willingness to try. Several changes in the structure of the organization were made this year. One such change occurred when the Presi- dent's Club and Human Relations merged with the Student Council to form one organization. There were also two new sponsors, Trina Rigby and Trudy Hatfield. The Furr Student Council participated in the T.A.S.C. and District 13, winning first place in District Scrapbook Competi- tion, and second in statewide competition. The Student Coun- cil received the appointment of vice-president of District I 3. Some of the Student Council's many activities this year included: Bounty Hunter's, Spirit Day, Christmas door deco- ration, Clean Up Day, the powderpuff football game, acquir- ing a flag which had been flown over the state Capitol for the school, and a special proiect to obtain a commemorative portrait of Charles E.
