It affords both peace and quiet as well as an excellent place to do conscientious and thor- ough work. Since the library is built below the ground level, it allows for a cooler atmosphere. More than suffi- cient lighting is provided by numerous windows above the book shelves and many large florescent lights. With the completion of this new library, Miss Pederson, head librarian, has seen her life-long ambition fulfilled. I7
