As morning slips away minds change from thoughts of studying to the thought of noon break. Lunch time: Eating, socializing, romancing, resting and even boasting. Happily we celebrate, gaily, noisily, excitedly, for the year brings with it many examples of victory. To teach another is to learn yourself 20 The school year 1973-74 has been a memorable time for the high school students and teachers. There have been several firsts” — the first year in a new high school — the first year for a new kind of lunch for high school students — the first time for auto mechanics in the school — the first time for a closed noon hour — in fact the first time for plenty of room in the high school. Years from now each of you will look back on all these firsts and I m sure you will reflect with a feeling of pride that you were a part of the school activities in 1973-74 as recorded so well in this yearbook. May each of you have a happy and successful life and always be a Beaver Believer” with Pride. 21 «.•Vvn •• . v ■ •v' ■ . it ■' - - s 'o ' ‘-'i' ' :• ,-S 'v' v tnvff. nr vvwws , «wwii wtseaesfr: Vc «iaiuMi; awi ’nnmiMf am maR x!,- v vvv iV mA- V S 'Unitofts Vi Awi rv ■s.-Kvi he- .vnainfc Jwr KrfcvTSc it mr-anr «MMfto H •«• tote '.VWW K- m nw«sitMfssifcfl WiTv .yLc. Open House Oct 21,1973 94 The fashions of yesterday, along with the music from the 50’s and 60’s were very evident during Home- coming Week at Eau Claire High School this year. Greasers, bobby-sox, and bicycle clips were evident on Nostalgia Day. An impromptu hop was held in the gym second hour. The greasers and their chicks danced the twist, stroll, and even the fox trot to the music of yesteryear. It was AMERICAN GRAFFITI all the way as the halls of ECHS rocked with the sound of Jerry Lee Lewis, Big Bopper, Richie Valens, and the Shon- dells. Nostalgia Day was followed by Slop Day, Dress-up Day, and Theme Day before the game and dance on Friday night. 95 96 Mini-Courses Something New At E.C.H.S.! The use of new facilities helped to better faculty and student relationships. Together we strove for new heights in education, sports, and extra-cur- ricular activities. Though it may seem hard to say good-bye to all the worthwhile days you have spent with friends enjoying school, we hope that through the 1974 annual, warm memories will last through a future made still brighter by the happy times now past.
