Principal Mr. Diekema, a graduate of Hope College, earned his M.A. degree at Michigan State College. He became a member of the faculty at East Lansing High School following service in the Army. He later became high school principal at Haslett.' In the fall of 1948 he joined the local faculty. Mr. Diekema has been an efficient and understanding executive. He has always taken a personal interest in the students and does his best to help them overcome their diffi- culties. He treats each student as his equal. and the students respond by giving him the respect due his position. Superintendent Mr. Beiser, after many years in the field of education, came to Eaton Rapids in the fall of 1948. A graduate of Central Michigan School of Education, he received his Master's degree from the University of Michigan. His previous experience includes teaching in a country school, three years of coaching and serving as a junior high principal, four years as superintendent at Vernon, and six- teen years as superintendent at Clarenceville. Mr. Beiser's position brings him into con- tact with all groups and institutions in the community.
