F. H. A. Officers The goal of each member of the Future Homemakers of America is to learn to live better today in order that her life and the lives of her family may be better tomorrow. The emblem...a home in a youth's hands.. symbolizes this by showing that the future homes of America are in the hands of its youth. The national organization was organized five years ago, and Eaton is a charter chapter. Any high school girl who is interested in homemak- ing may belong. There are A2 members in the Eaton Chapter this year. The chapter advisor is Colleen McClellan. The chapter also has 2 club mothers, Mrs. Schick and Mrs. Gourley. 1,.H To Hake The Best Better-is the motto of the girls A-H Club. The girls strive to do this by continually trying to improve in their L-H Club projects as well as in their home and social life. Colleen McClellan, the adult leader, is also aided by the help of five community members. The local Farm Bureau, h2nd Home Economics Club, Eaton Home Economics Club, Rural Friendship Home Economics Club and the Better Homes and Garden Club have encouraged the girls by giving awards to deserving members. This year the Eaton Girls' L-H met all of the requirements of a standard A-H Club and had 72 members to complete their work.
