The idea is to bring the class average down so Junior can pass. This plan is disarranged by the unex- pected arrival of Uncle George. The play was under the direction of Miss Maxine Bohn. STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council. which was organized last year, repre- sents the student body in the school government. lt is made up of two members from each of the four upper grades. During the school year. it sponsored various activities. Early in the year the members delivered handbills for the l-lalloWe'en Frolic, sold basketball pins, and arranged for a contest to name the athletic teams. Under their direction the amount of money raised in the March of Dimes was greater than ever before. The photography project was the last activity, The members received gold-plated pins if they kept a high citizenship and scholastic average. The 1948 Mirror
