K 'K ,frm N. is in -V . , ,....,,fxin ,T Entering high school, either as a freshman or again for another year, the student is struck by the walls in all their manifesta- tions, pressing in, keeping out, locking up, ticking away, and seeming to engulf him or her in a mind-void blankness.
