To Every Student . As we attempted to plan this yearbook, we scanned previous years annuals and a great many thoughts filled our minds. Those special phrases and tear arousing thoughts which we sometimes read, made us stop and think how quickly the years we have spent in school have gone. Thus, through the 1969 edition of the Aquila, we hope to instill in you, the reader, the idea to return to past memories and for one moment, remember the sad, happy, and surprising moments of your school days. The Sands of Time is the theme of this book, if not for unification, for stimulating your thoughts. We sincerely hope that every time you see this hourglass, the picture over which it Lies, or read the following quotation, you will have one pleasant memory of your days at EI-IS to recall.
