After the usual round of classes--govern- ment, English, science, foreign lan- guages--the day of classroom study ends and many students head for home, piled downwith books, papers, and assignments. For the others there are the after school activities. There's something for everyone, for the athletically minded there's GAA and a wide variety of sports activities for the boys, those seeking to widen their knowledge or improve their skills join something like Latin club, political science, camera club, or the forensic society. Q. ' There are career clubs like future farmers, future teachers, and future homemakers, there are special en- sembles for the musically inclined, and if one would go to Room 13 after school you would be very likely to see the members of the yearbook or newspaper staff trying to catch up with their never ending work.

After attendance and lunch count is taken the real work of the day begins as books are opened and the teacher begins the lecture of the day. The lunch hour provides a refreshing change-of-pace. The closed lunch room is observed at Eastwood but during the three lunch periods well over three -fourths of the student body buy the hot lunches served in the cafeteria. The remainder of the lunch period is spent in the auditorium Where each week a different movie is shown. The movies deal with any- thing from Shakespearean plays and biog- raphies of such greats as Mme. Curie to the mad antics of Red Skelton, jerry Lewis, and Danny Kaye. The programs are supervised by members of the faculty. 7
