President Dave Sequin called the members of the Senior Class of 1958 to order for their first meeting on November 6, 1957. Lucy Parisi assisted Dave as vice- president. The task of taking minutes was welcomed by Sheila Anderson, and Ed Heck gladly accepted the job of handling financial matters. One of the biggest phases of Ed's financial job was the handling of the funds from the senior play, Dino, under the capable direction of Allyn Phillips and assistance of Bill Snyder. The main characters were portrayed by Joe Falasco and Gary Parzych as Dino, Judy Hamilton and Bev Stevens as Shirley, Bruce McNeil and Tom Heater as Mr. Sheridan, and Mihran Babikian and Gene Heffron as Tony. The Class of 1958 is distinguished by the fact that twenty-five percent of the class made the honor roll of 85 percent or above. In addition, Judy Hamilton, valedictorian, deserves an orchid for achieving the highest four year scholastic record ever attained by any student in Eastwood High School's thirty-seven years. That enviable average was 97.57. In April 1958, the senior class held their senior dance in the gymnasium of Eastwood High. There the happy couples danced away to the latest pop tunes. On June 6 the Senior Ball was presented in the main ballroom of Hotel Syracuse. There, starry-eyed couples danced dreamily to the unforgettable melodies of Jack Kreischer and his orchestra. With the commencement exercises on June 23, the high school days of the Class of 1958 drew to a close.
