Ambition—To be successful in everything, whether, college, career, or marriage. President John Gruninger called the 148 members of the Senior Class of 1957 to order for their first meeting on October 9th. Marylu Walters held the position of vice-president and the task of taking minutes was assigned to Paula Stewart. Treasurer Jim Quinn had a big time handling the funds, what with all the money the seniors gathered on December 15th and 16th, as a result of their play “Junior Miss”. Under the direction of Mr. Allyn Phillips the play was double casted with Christine Ragonese and Linda DeSocio sharing the lead role of “Judy”. Other parts in the play were portrayed by Leon Capone, Dave Hunt, Linda Daubenthaler, Gail Bennett, Lois Gurzny, Winnie Grove, Marylu Walters, Carolyn Angotti, Bill Williams, Bill Sabis, John Ezzo, John Lansing, Maureen Mancini, Gary Whitaker, Chuck Lang- paul, Dick Parzych, Dick Wescott, George Almasi, George Kernaghan, Larry Tone, and Kari Bakke. On April 5th, a great time was had by all the seniors who attended the dance “April Night” at the school gym. A1 Meltzer, celebrated disc jockey, provided record favorites for the unforgettable occasion. The big moment for most of the class came on the evening of May 29th, when, hand in hand, couples joyously entered the Main Ballroom of Hotel Onondaga to dance the gala evening away to the music of Dick Kowell’s orchestra. Diplomas were presented at the Commencement Exercises on June 24th. So was brought to a close one of the most memorable chapters in the lives of the Senior Class of 1957.
