Class History The curtains opened in September and found the nominating committee for Senior Class officers busily at work. The committee presented the slate and when the final vote was counted Bill Isenhart was president; Carol Thompson, vice-president; Sue Brubaker, secretary; and George Haws, treasurer. In December the Senior Play Committee began the important task of choos- ing the Senior Play. Tryouts were held, in which over fifty seniors participated. The final cast was chosen and rehearsals began. February 4 the Senior Class presented Senior Swing in the school gym to raise money for the treasury. Elections were held for spring officers and Ralph Malandra accepted the gavel as president. Assisting him were Nina DeMario, vice-president; Anne Keller, secretary; and Peter LaNeve, treasurer. April 19 was chosen as opening night for this year’s Senior Play, All in the Family. Taking part in the play were Jeanette Charlebois, Jim DeFuria, Francine Maley, Jack Brickell, Jeanette Fiello, Roger Goodelle, George Haws, Lorin Hunt, Bob Worden, Carol Temple, Carol Pierce, John Cooper, Mary Anne Corona. May 11 was the date of the unforgettable Class Night. Many seniors dis- played hidden talents and everyone had fun at the Senior Dance held in the gym afterward. Senior Ball, the most memorable event of the senior year, took place June 1 at Hotel Syracuse. Jack Kreisher’s orchestra provided the music for the gala affair. Diplomas were presented at Commencement June 25, and the seniors passed from the halls of Eastwood High School to the world of their future—and the curtains closed.
