Many times in this world of tension we think that the only way to find solutions to our problems is to escape into a world of fantasy where dreams seem to become realities, though we realize that dreams cannot be substituted for the full meaning of life. Facing the world today requires knowledge, which is power: self-discipline, which is character: tolerance, which is spiritual wisdom; and, last but not least, imagination — our passport to the future. The class of 1954 has chosen for its theme fairy tales, which delve into the imaginative and remind us that in this world of increasing anxiety, we must have dreams in order to achieve.
