On November 9 and 10, the Drama department, directed by Miss Humbles, presented Mary Ch se’s light-hearted comedy, “Harvey”. The story revolves around Elwood P. Dowd and his very special friend, Harvey. Har- vey is a six-foot rabbit. Veta Sim- mons and Myrtle Mae Simmons, Elwood’s sister and niece, try to get Elwood committed to an in- sane asylum called “Chumley's Rest” managed by two doctors, Dr. Sanderson and Dr. Chumley. Veta succeeds and gets Elwood to agree to take a shot so he won't see Harvey anymore. For- tunately, E.J. Lofgen saves the day and convinces Veta to stop the injection. Elwood admires his most prized possession. Judge Gaffney and the doctors have a heated argument. CREDITS Director .......................Phoebe E.
