Seven Compete For Title Of “Miss Eastside Tina Carnahan plays ' 'Valse in F flat''. There were seven contestants in this year's Miss Eastside contest which was held on Wednesday, September 13. The first to display her talent was Carma Bremer, singing The Way We Were. Tina Carnahan then proceeded to play a selection on the piano called Valse in E flat.'' The next contestant was Kim Kessler singing, I Won't Last A Day Without You. Kim Powell moved the audience with her version of the song, I Don't Know How to Love Him. Monica Snyder twirled baton to Aquarius, impressing the audience with her expertise in twirling. Tammy Warstler chose to sing, I Honestly Love You as her talent in the competition. Susan Yates rounded up the contest by singing, A Time for Us. All the girls put forth a fine effort, and it was really up for grabs as to whom the lucky winner would be. It was a difficult decision for the judges to make with all of the excellent performances, but in the final outcome Monica Snyder was chosen as Miss Eastside with Kim Kessler as alternate. Both girls advance to represent Eastside in the DeKalb County Pageant. 8 Miss Eastside
