This year's Homecoming was the weekend of the Eastside-Central Noble game. It was sponsored by the Student Council who chose Eastside is You as the theme. The class of 1980 had the win- ning float, second place - the class of 1976, and third place - the class of 1977. This year eleven girls competed for the title of Miss Homecoming Queen. These girls represented their organizations: Marilyn Lengacher - Band, Cindy Michael- Booster Block, Brenda Haverstock - Art Club, Diane Peden - French Club, Becky Hill - OEA, Cathy Lambert - Blazettes, Sherry Alloway - Spanish Club, Holly Carpenter - GAA, Bernie Rubalcaba - Letter- men's Club, Rhonda Hankey - VICA, and Penny Maloy - Choir. Last year's reigning queen, Cheryl Hudson, handed over her crown to the new Miss Homecoming Queen 1974 , Bernadette Rubalcaba. First and second place went to Diane Pe- den and Marilyn Lengacher respec- tively. This event began with a parade through town followed by the foot- ball game. During the game the queen was crowned and afterwards a dance was held in her honor at the cafetorium. Thanks to Mr. Smith and the Stu- dent Council for making this a great success.
