Mr. Exnest Zeller, super- intendent of the DeKalb County Eastern Community School District, has had one of the most important jobs in the school organization for the past two years. It has been his responsibility to see that the Riverdale and Butler schools have been smoothly combined to form the East- side High School. In this task he has been successful. Besides working with the School Board, he also en- forces the rules and policies of the Indiana State Board of Education as well as those of the North Central Associ- ation. Superintendent, Mr. Ernest Zeller Mrs. Helen Houlton Familiar to students in Butler Ele- mentary School and the Eastside High School is Mr. Zeller's secretary, Helen Houlton. During the past years, Helen has become a very important part of our school system. She keeps both the School Board and has proved to be efficient in all phases of office work. Eastside's principal, Mr. Kent Myers, has had one of the most important jobs in the school for he has all the problems of a busy company executive and more. Besides the usual problems of a busi- ness, Mr. Myers faces head- aches in scheduling classes, maintaining discipline, and acting as a mediator between pupils and teachers. He is never too busy to help a pupil with a problem and has a friendly smile for everyone. We are indeed lucky to have a principal like Mr. Myers.
