Hamilton SUPERINTENDENTHS MESSAGE A STATEMENT FROM TI-IE PARISH SUPERINTENDENT Picture the progress made by the consolidation of the three formerly all-Negro schools from which Eastside grew. The modern school plant you pupils attend and you teachers teach in is a far cry from the three plants you formerly had, namely Union Parish High School, Marion Industrial and Lanes Chapel. The qualifications of your teachers have vastly improved and your transportation is one of the best fotmd anywhere. The attitude and participation of your pupils in all community activities have improved immensely in recent years. I want to thank the teachers, students, parents and the community as a whole for your contribution to education in Union Parish which has not been easy to come by.
