September, l95fi we added our third stripe. At last we are seniors! Another big milestone was passed. Classes were still fewer and responsi- bilities were more. Throughout the year our social activities continued and would be remem- bered as our last as student nurses. XfVe had teas, dances, doggie roasts, birthday parties and after-hour bull-sessions. The winter months passed by quickly and soon we fared our long-awaited graduation week. This was our last big milestone and many tears ol' happiness were shed. VVatching the new class come in reminded us of our first big day. As intermediates we were well on our way in specialties such as Diet Kitchen, Operating Room, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Isolation, Receiving VVard, and alhlia- tion. We had now gained the two twelve o'c1ock permissions a week and classes were fewer and harder. Fund-raising projects such as spaghetti suppers, bake sales, selling of candy, chances, sweat shirts and peanuts kept us busy off duty. june, 1956 came with thc departure of the hrst six girls in our class to Phila- delphia State I-Iospital for psychiatric alliliation.
