Another etiology for celebrating. SEPTEMBER, 19511 Our little sisters came in training. Time for us to show off. How did 16 intermediates manage to lose permissions for two weeks? What happened to the Crying Towel with all the decorative letters? Directly following-Who were the bad little students who forgot to make their beds? Well, what's another week ol loss of permissions! Thirty 0 OCTOBER, 1954 Life was not a bowl of cherries. The month of so-called Intermediate Slump began. NOVEMBER, 1954 Time to cheer up and have fun. There was going to be a hay ride. Christ- mas was just around the corner. .1ANUARY, 1955 VVhat a way to start out this New Year. Vfhy were 21 Intermediates waving Neurology receipts around the Nurses' Home? FEBRUARY, 1955 Another capping to attend-this marking one full year of wearing our dignity MARCH, 1955 Our class trip to Hamburg, Pa. It did prove interesting, as well as educationally beneficial. 0 Thirty-one APRIL, 1955 Intermediate vacations began and preparations were being made for the following months social activities. MAY, 1955 . Our big sister's graduation - the Graduation formal. Act I-The Dance-Formal clothes, corsages, and boutonnieres. Act II - Commencement- Change of costumes and scenery. l JUNE, 1955 A new field of nursing discovered by our class as our first group went to Byberry, ofhcially known as Philadelphia State Hospital. OCTOBER, 1955 A twin shower was given for 21 new Mrs and a future mother. NOVEMBER, 1955 Senior classes ended and vacations began. DECEMBER, 1955 Our first nephew was born. Chapel discontinued. Our last Christmas Formal to attend while in training. This was a night for parties. 'IANUARY, 1956 Swing!!! Preparations for the yearbook were under way. 0 Th irty-three MAY, 1956 Our three years of training were climaxed by a Graduation week of activ- ities, beginning with Baccalaureate services at the College Hill Presbyterian Church with Dr. Freed, Pastor, Sunday, May 13. Monday, May 14, 7:00 P.M. found us at the Village Inn in Allentown, Pa., as dinner guests of the Graduate Staff. Favors of charm bracelets will serve as a lasting remembrance. Entertainment was provided by the Senior Class with the presentation of a skit entitled Personalities Mrs. Horace Lehr, Jr., hostess for the School Committee Buffet, entertained us at her home on Tuesday, May 15. Wednesday- Commencement Rehearsal- at 7:00 P.M., we found our- selves at Country Club of Northampton County at our Graduation Dinner- Dance. Here we witnessed the crowning of the Queen, Miss June Kline and her court: Misses Doris Hogmark and Arlene Cesare, Seniors: Angela Gam- mino and Donna VValters, Intermediatesg and Elaine Mattes and Lois Men- hennitt, Juniors. VVe then danced to the music of Bernie Parsons. l 1 hzrty four 0 Commencement on Thursday was preceded by Homecoming and Supper with the Alumnae in the Recreation Room of the Nurses' Home. The school gift was presented by Miss Geraldine Slater, Class President. At 8:15, we participated in Commencement exercises, which had been long awaited by all, followed by a reception at our Nurses' Home. The Alumnae Banquet at Hotel Easton on Friday brought this memorable week to a close. Entertainment was provided by the Alumnae. Gifts were presented by the Alumnae and Mr. and Mrs. Brittingham. An end of this week represents an end of three years of training. An enjoy- able and educational milestone in our lives. 15 5 0 Thirty-five CLASS WILL. Forgot about baccalaureate and had the New Jersey State Police searching for her. Was under the impression that whole blood came from the right arm and plasma from the left. Sat on the coffee table in the living room, after which it collapsed. Locked a visitor in N-3 at Byberry. Played pinochle in Nursing Arts class. Kept a raccoon on third floor for two days. Passed the Neurology exam fyou're right- Dr. Seidelj. Got paid Eve dollars for their testimony in court. Requested night duty in the Formula Room after graduation. Slept on a window sill at night.
