In it we sa! a young man and his wife with eight children, all under the age of twelve years. He wanted to know it he could help us. I thought I recognized his race so I asked him if he were not Pete Giovenale who had been in my freshman class at Easton High School. He said, 'Yes, I have just returned from Europe where I have been a Latin professor.' He started to introduce his wife, but to my surprise, I found that she was Henrietta Sane tee, another of my former school chums. After our en- gine was repaired, they drove on. I In V I continued my journey. Upon arriving at Eleanor's, the should I see but Margaret Tighe and her husband, Bob Bell. 'Margaret astonished me withther mannieh clothes and-lorgnette. 'Mr. Bell was a very high class boot- logger and she acted as his assistant. ,Her favorite diversion was reading Shakespeare.I. A After I finished my visit there, I wasxgoing to a- hotel for the night. 'In order to register for a room, I went toward the desk where I.encountered an old lady with spectacles. To my surprise, she was-sitting in a chair with her feet on the desk, reading a College Humor and smoking a pipe with all her might.' At first I thought she was on fire. I soon discovered that it was Miss Jensen, one of my former high school teachers.' During our conversatl n, she informed me that she had a netdrnngled flapper acting as maid. Her name was Marion Coburn. on my way to my room, I met her coming down the hall. I would have 4 A . 1 , 0 never recognized her because she H I had grown so fat and bowlegged.
