The Quill and Scroll Society Quill and Scroll is the International Honorary Society for High School journalists. Membership is a distinct honor and is reserved for those outstanding publications staff members who meet the basic requirements established by the Society and its Local Chapters. Candidates for Quill and Scroll mem- bership must have demonstrated fully to the satisfaction of their staff advisor, the board of publications, or the school principal that they merit the award through high scholar- ship, journalistic achievement and service. They must be ap- proved by the Executive Secretary of the Society.
