Stamp Club The purpose of the Stamp Club is to help the members learn more about collecting stamps, con- dition of stamps, and how to mount them. Each year the members attend the Stamp Convention at the Southern Hotel. Virginia Schott, Harvey Wasserman, and Charles Becker are looking over the morning newspaper to get information for current events. 98 Jim Esswein, Kim Smart, George Martz, and David Parrish are looking over the stamps they wish they could add to their collections. i l s George Varga, presidentg Denny Oppenheimer, vice-presidentg and.En Herschberg, secretary-treasurerg' check over a club member's collection for possibilities of trading for new stamps. Current Events Club . Under the direction of Mr. Julian members of the Current Events Club keep up to date on what is go- ing on in the world. Interesting discussions of com- mon interest are carried on at club meetings. y

Radio Broadcasting Club The Radio Broadcasting Club members tape record football and basketball games. They also record in- terviews of students on controversial and interesting subjects. Club members take an annual field trip to WBNS-TV to learn more about broadcasting. Janet Dennison demonstrates how to use the tape re corder for her fellow Radio Broadcasting members, Slide Rule Club The Slide Rule Club is open only to those students taking trigonometry. At club meetings students work with the slide rule. to increase their accuracy. Steve Craig, Bob Nacdiment Barry Lerer, and Phil Wilson are beginning a blub meeting. Barry is president and Phil is vice-president. Larry Gornall, club president, shows Ruth Konkle and Judy Clark how to use the slide rule. 99

Senior Science Club The members of the Senior Science Club participate in a demonstration at every club meeting, The Science Club promotes interest and provides oppor- tunities for students who are interested in all phases of science and who enjoy exploring the unknown. Boys leading the junior High members of the science club are David Cowell, presidentg George Varga, vice-presidentg and Ronnie Stein, secretary-treasurer. Members of the junior Science Club are putting on a demonstration for fellow club members. Terry Covel and Karen Neiman are looking at algae specimens. Members of the Senior Science Club work un- der the direction of Mr. Condit. The officers are: Steve Pinsky, president, Judy Pler, secretary, and David Prayer, vice-president. Junior Science Club The Junior Science Club mem- bers perform experiments, view films, and listen to speeches about various scientific fields.
