Then they met their neighborhood rival, Whitehall, for the opening tilt of the season and were de- feated l2-O. After this slow start the Warriors gained considerable speed and downed Bexley 22-20 in a fourth- quarter thriller. The following Friday Coach Bob Stuart's men defeated West, their first City League opponent, by a score of 26-O. Continuing their winning ways, the Warriors rolled over South 22-6 and tromped Central 28-O. Playing before a capacity Homecoming crowd, the scrappy Eastmoor eleven skinned the Linden Panthers 8-O and set their sights on the City League Crovvn. Mighty East came next. An overflow crowd cheered the determined War- riors on to a thrill-packed 8-6 victory over the Tigers and a share of the championship.
