R CHEERLEADE DD PEP AND SPIRIT After our Championship Assembly, Cynthia Husted, Neva Lowe, Arlene Masch, Ellen Appelbaum, Angel Burnette, and Joy Henry salute our team. Leading the Warriors' cheers for the 1959-1960 season, our energetic groups of cheerleaders have proved a large factor in the spirit of the East- moor High teams. Captain of the varsity squad is Angel Burnette. Our reserves are headed by a different girl each week and Sarah Welch leads the Junior High team in cheers. Together these girls have come up with yells both original and well- loved. Joy Henry, Angel Burnette, Ellen Appelbaum, Arlene Masch, and Cynthia Husted lead the student body during one of our basketball games. After adding their part at half-time the reserves are awaiting the results of the game. The girls are Janet Gray, Dianne Phares, Sharon Hemmer, Ruth Tarcov, Connie Wilson, and Janice Ycrunkin. l30

Some of the members of the cast include Emmet Pearson as Mortimer Brewster, Susan Brown as Martha Brewster, Eileen Collins as Abby Brewster, Charles Einhorn as Dr, Einstein, and Denny Tishkoff as Jonathan Brewster. ARSENIC A D OLD LACE The dramatics department's fall production Arsenic and Old Lace was the most hilarious presentation to date. The cast, the student directors, Peggy Colegrove and Judy Williams, and Mr. Keiser are to be congratulated for this production of November i9 and 20. Members of the cast were Eileen Collins, Susan Brown, Emmet Pearson, Steve McDowell, Denny Tish- kott, Charles Einhorn, Carole Brown, Larry Nichols, Stanley Bobrof, Frank Hoffman, Allan Lewis, Jon Ewing, Mike Swinger and Ben Rose. Steve McDowell had the antique set as well as the entire audience rocking with laughter at his portrayal of Teddy.
